Financial services ยท Savanna Capital
A payments platform that settled in seconds, not hours
We rebuilt a lending client's transaction backbone so settlements cleared in seconds and reconciliation stopped being a manual nightly ritual.

The problem
Savanna Capital had grown from one product to five, each writing to the same ageing ledger through its own integration. Reconciliation ran overnight, failed often, and no reliable position existed during the working day.
What we did
- Modelled every money movement as an explicit, auditable ledger entry.
- Built an idempotent transaction API so retries could never double-post.
- Migrated the five products onto the new ledger behind a compatibility layer, one at a time, with no downtime.
- Replaced nightly batch reconciliation with continuous matching and an exception queue.
- Added role-based access, audit trails and encryption at rest.

“We used to start every morning by finding out what had gone wrong overnight. That meeting no longer exists. The team moved on to actual work.”
