Engagement and pricing
Clear pricing, quoted after we understand the work
We do not publish a price list, because a meaningful quote depends on what you actually need. What we can do is show you the three ways we work, the indicative ranges, and exactly how a price gets agreed.
Three ways to work with us
Pick the shape that fits your situation
Most clients start with one of these and move between them as their needs change. There is no penalty for switching.
Fixed-scope project
A defined outcome, a defined price
From $6,500
Typical range $6,500 - $85,000 depending on scope
Best when the outcome can be described precisely. We scope it together, agree a price and hold it unless you change the requirements.
- Discovery and written specification
- Fixed price and delivery schedule
- Fortnightly working demos
- Full source code and documentation handover
- Thirty days of post-launch support
Best for
A new system, a rebuild or a specific integration
Dedicated team
Continuous delivery capacity
From $4,200 / month
Per engineer, billed monthly with a three month minimum
Best when you have a rolling roadmap rather than one project. Named engineers who know your systems, working to a plan you direct.
- Named engineers embedded with your team
- Monthly planning and prioritisation sessions
- Fortnightly releases and demos
- Architecture and technical advisory included
- Direct access to the team, no account layer
Best for
Continuous product development or scaling a team
Managed support
We keep it running and improving
From $950 / month
Scaled to system complexity and response requirements
Best for live systems that need to stay healthy. Monitoring, patching, backups, incident response and a monthly improvement allowance.
- Twenty-four hour monitoring and alerting
- Security patching and dependency updates
- Tested off-site backups
- Incident response with defined SLAs
- Monthly improvement allowance
Best for
Live systems, or teams without in-house operations
How a quote is built
A price that holds because we scoped it first
Discovery produces a written specification, a schedule and a fixed price. If the scope changes, you see the cost and schedule impact in writing before anything proceeds.
Managed support plans
For systems already in production
Monitoring, patching, backups, incident response and a monthly allowance of improvements. Scaled to how much uptime actually matters to you.

How a price gets agreed
Four steps from conversation to signed scope
Listen and map
We interview the people doing the work, review the systems in play and write down how things actually flow.
Design the solution
We propose what to build first, what to leave alone, what it will cost and what we are assuming. Options come with trade-offs.
Build in increments
Working software every two weeks, demonstrated against real data. You can redirect early while changes are still cheap.
Verify and secure
Automated tests, security review and load checks run throughout, not at the end, so findings are fixed while the context is fresh.
What the written scope contains
Deliverables, acceptance criteria, a schedule with phase boundaries, the fixed price or rate, what is explicitly out of scope, assumptions we are making, and the pass-through costs for infrastructure and licences at cost with no markup.
No hidden costs
What sits outside our fee
Infrastructure, third-party licences and domains are passed through at cost and listed explicitly in every proposal. We take no markup on them, and there are no line items that appear later without prior agreement.
- Cloud and hosting. Billed directly to your account wherever possible, so you see the real number.
- Licences. Third-party software at list price, with the invoice shared.
- Domains and certificates. Registered in your name, renewed at cost.
- Travel. Agreed in advance, billed at cost with receipts, never marked up.
Indicative ranges

Pricing questions
The things clients ask before signing
“They told us one of our requirements was a bad idea and explained why. That conversation saved us more money than any discount would have.”
“The handover documentation is better than anything we have had from a supplier. Six months on, our own team is extending the system without them.”
Next step
Get a real number for your project
A short discovery gives you a written scope, a schedule and a fixed price. It is the only reliable way to quote work like this.
